1. The spring vocation has past and the new quarter has past one week also. I worked hard last quarter and i relaxed myself during the spring vocation. So it is time to study hard for this quarter. Besides OPIE composition class, i also have three academic classes which are a little hard for me. I have Math 163A, PSY101, and AAS150. The math class requires me to do a lot of exercises instead psychology and Africa American Study requires me do lots of reading. I also need to make much effort for my OPIE composition class because i want to take full time academic study after this quarter. I have made a plan for my future study, so this quarter's four classes are important for me, i must study all of them very well so that i can follow my plan during the Summer quarter. In a word, although may be i will have much tough time during this quarter, i am ready and very confidence that i can do it.

2. One week ago , my mother and i had a big argue with each other. We haven't see each other for almost one year, every week i will contact her for two or three times. I don't know why we just have two or three chance to contact with each other, we use this value opportunity to argue and hurt each other. Actually, i miss my family everyday when i am stay in America. I am homesick everyday, and miss home, food, friends, and who i miss the most is my parents. I want back to home, but i can't because i have to stay and study in here. Last Sunday night my mother contact with me and we had a very good conversation. I really enjoy talking with my mother because she is the only one that always stand by my side. Eventhough, we argued with each other sometimes, we still enjoy the time that we spend together. This Summer vocation, i can back to my hometown, and i am so excited. I wish i can have a very good time at home.

3. Next quarter, i can move out from campus, so the first thing i should decide is where should i live. I visit the leasing office in the Mill street and River park, so that i got many information about the apartment i will rent. Next thing i should do is campare and contrast these two different apartments. If i live in the Mill street i can save money, because all the utilities are include in the rent fee. I don't have to pay extra money for water, electric or Internet. However, if i live in the River park, i can save the time to go to school because of the location of the apartment. In addition, i can get a bigger room than live in the Mill street. So i am still looking for the place that i will live, and i hope before i move out from campus i can find a apartment that fits all of my conditions.

4. Today, i have a very interesting Psychology class. Our teacher told us a story that when she was a little girl in middle school, every girl in her class were good at baseball and she was the only one who cannot play it. Because of this reason her teacher always find her parents to encourage her to play this sport. And she just don't listeningto her parents because everytime when she playing this sport, the ball always hit her and she became more and more dislike this sport. Her parents think the reason why she wasn't good at this sport was because she didn't practice it very often, and she think the opposite. When she grow up, she got a eye test and she found that one of her eyes is nearsight and another one is farsight. This is the reason why she is not good at this sport because the only way for her to know the distance between her and another object is that, she mush have something nearby her and she calculate the distance. But when she playing the baseball. There is nothing she can see near by the ball when the ball is flying in the sky. So there is no way for her to calculate the distance. everytime when she saw the ball flying in the sky she think is far away from her. But everytime she will be bitten by the ball when she think the ball is far away.

5. this weekend i saw an very interesting and romantic movie it called" Romeo and Juliet" It is an new movie that happened in Mexico. Juliet's family is very rich and their family hole a party for Juliet. Romeo meet Juliet at this party and they fall in love suddenly. But their family is disagree them get together. Juliet's brother killed one of Romeo's friend. Then Romeo killed Juliet's brother, and they decide move to a place that no one knows them. In a accident Juliet take the medicine that can help her sleep like died person, but Romeo don'y know about this. He thought Juliet is died because of him, so he is suicide in front of Juliet. When Juliet wake up, she saw Romeo is died and she was so upset and kill herself also. When their family found them, they are both died and their family realize that they made a big mistake, they should allow them get married so that no one will died because of these.

6. After I saw this movie, I feet so upset and cannot sleep all night. I always think about thst if their family can let them do everything by themselves and agree with their decision. Give them some respect this tragedy will never happen. Fortunately, my family always respect my decision and my father and mother always support what i decide to do. Sometimes, they will slao give me some good advices when I need their help. In China, most parents not allow their children make decision by themselves, and because of this reason some teenagers don't want to live with their parents, also some teenagers will eloped from their home. I think if parents can give their children more freedom, this tragedy will never happen again.

7. I came to America already 2 years, but i always remember the time when i first came to this country. When i first saw this University, i was so surprised that OU is huge, and it is much bigger than any University in China. I was so excited that i can study at this University. When i first moved to my campus i meet my first American friend: my roommate. She is so nice that when i talk to her i feel so happy, because she can try her best to understand my sentences, and she always helps me to know some new words. In fact, before i came to this school, i never take TOFEL test, at that time i felt so nerous, and my roommate encourage me that: you should forget the result, if you try you best to do it, you will succeful. I am so glade that at that time someone said this sentence to encouraged me, now i feel much more confident that before, and always remember this sentence.

8. This weekend i make a decision that i have to buy a printer so that i can print my paper at home instead of library. When i go to the Walmart i found that there are so many printers in the shop and i cannot decide which one should i buy. After compare all of these different printers i deicide to buy a HP printer which will cost me 99 dollars. It is a good printer because it can not only print my paper but also it can print the photographs. It is so conveninence that i can do my homework at home and do not need to go to the library and stay up very late for my homework. I can just finish it at home and go to sleep immdiently.

9. TOEFL Writing: If i had chance to buy a house or a business, i would prefer the second one. There are a lot of reasons for the choice, and i would like to explain them in the following. The first, we live to improve ourselves, not just to satisfy our demands for material comforts. Indeed, it is everybody's dream to live in a luxurious house with spacious rooms, private swimming pools and servants. What a nice picture of life! But wait, a business can offer more. Buying a business and run it well not only give us a chance to challenge our ability and skill, but also can help accumulate our wealth. Pets are animals and get confused if you expect them to act like human beings.

Pets should be given appropriate food, and they should have a few toys, since they need some enjoyment just like humans do. However, some pet owners spend hundreds of dollars on supplies for their pets. There are children in the world who don't have clothes or fodd or toys. It would be better to give some of that money to charity.
Feeling close to your pets can be very satisfying and healthy, as long as you don't overdo it.

16. firstly, movies can reflect a country's history. Based on different historical backgrounds, movies can give us a lot of information about a country's past. For those who have the background historical knowledge, they can have a better ubderstanding about the movie; while for those who have little knowledge about the history can start to know it from the movie they are watching. For instance, many historical movies focus on a certain period of the history. Obviously, each country has a totally different history. Thus, by watching these movies, we will know more about other countries' history which will help us increase our knowledge and understandingabout other countries.

As they grow up, they learn more from parents about social etiquette, which makes them more suitable to live in society. You can enjoy the fresh air in the early morning, and slao you can get a good night sleep during the quiet midnight timw. Moreover, if you get up early, before go to work, you still have enough time to do some exercises, such as walking, running and riding the bike. So we confront of the serious problem such as the lack of fuels and water. Ecological balance is dameged because factories occupy many places where animals and plants live. 29. The statement in the direction is a long term consideration of many people including me. Many people will argue that playing a game is only fun when you win. I however, after thinking about it on many occasions, decide to stand up against the view for the following reasons.
The first and the most important reason for my opposing the idea is that playing a game, no matter you win or lose, helps release a person from the heavy pressure, in most cases, resulted from intellectual activities. There is no better example than myself when i was trying so hard to enter the university. At that time, when i was too exhausted to memorize any single incident in the history book, a play of badminton would refill me with fresh energy to goback to my studies, though i hardly won any of these badminton games as my partner is an excellent player. Therefore, the biggest advantage of playing games lies in the fact that it helps people relaxed.

Consequently, the awareness of you ability in learning new things is the best award you can find in game playing.

31. Land is a valuable resource, and it is important to use it effectively. I think it would be most effective to create something that all people can enjoy. I therefore propose to use the land to build a campground. At the present time, there is little low-cost recreation in the area when i live. Building a campground would change that. Ultimately a campground would make a more enjoyable environment for everyone.
Local entertainment is simply too expensive. A nice evening out can cost as much as one hundred dollars. Even movies and other less expensive types of entertainment are no longer cheap. Further, there are no real recreational facilities nearby. There are no parks within 30 miles. There are very few basketball courts, and most of those are in poor condition.

32. The result of building a campground will be that many more people will be able to afford an enjoyable evening out. Acampgroud also promotes healthy living. People can get out and breathe fresh air. They can walk and hike and paly baskball or other sports. That is certainly better than spending an evening sitting down, eating buttery popcorn in a movie theater.
A campground will make the area beautiful as well as functional. We have many wonderful natural resources, but we need to cultivate them. In addition to all the other good things it can bring, building a campground will help us do just that.

First of all, in my opinion, the most important reason is to gain competence to live a better life in the future. competition of our days has became more and more drastic, and even a very simple job or low position will attract hundreds of people to apply for it. Only those who have a good education and general knowledge can gain better work. So, we should attend college or university for better competence.

From birth, humans are influenced by the surrounding people for their characteristics. Parents take a big role in briinging up children, which affects their lives for a long time.
In early infanthood, babies are looking to moms and dads to learn basic manners to be accepted in society. Some of these manners include not runinf around in restaurants or hitting other kids. As they grow up, they learn more from parents about social etiquette, which makes them more suitable to live in society. Children tend to look to their parents for role models knowingly or unknowingly.

In the first palce, everyone knows that getting up early is a very good habit for our health. You can enjoy the fresh air in the early morning, and slao you can get a good night sleep during the quiet midnight timw. Moreover, if you get up early, before go to work, you still have enough time to do some exercises, such as walking, running and riding the bike. Without doubt, all of the exercises do help your health.

Others feel that human activity makes the earth a better place to live. In my opinion, the earth is being damaged by human activity. There are many statements supporting my opinion.
Human activity has damaged natural environment and almost exausted natural resources. Modern industry needs more and more resources, including minerals, fuels and water. So we confront of the serious problem such as the lack of fuels and water. Ecological balance is dameged because factories occupy many places where animals and plants live. More and more buildings are constructed and forests become less and less. If we cannot recognize these problems and solve them soon, we would finally lose the environment suitable for our living.

29. The statement in the direction is a long term consideration of many people including me. Many people will argue that playing a game is only fun when you win. I however, after thinking about it on many occasions, decide to stand up against the view for the following reasons.
The first and the most important reason for my opposing the idea is that playing a game, no matter you win or lose, helps release a person from the heavy pressure, in most cases, resulted from intellectual activities. There is no better example than myself when i was trying so hard to enter the university. At that time, when i was too exhausted to memorize any single incident in the history book, a play of badminton would refill me with fresh energy to goback to my studies, though i hardly won any of these badminton games as my partner is an excellent player. Therefore, the biggest advantage of playing games lies in the fact that it helps people relaxed.

30. Another reason for my disagreement is that one will find out his or her capacity of making progress while playing a game. When learning a new game, if your opponent is a more mature player that you are, it is for sure that you will not win him or her at the beginning, but in the process of the game, if you are a conscientious player, you will definitely learn to grasp the basic skills of a certain game, which enable you to play better and better. Consequently, the awareness of you ability in learning new things is the best award you can find in game playing.
Therefore, i will conclude by saying that playing a game itself is worthwhile and to win or not to win is not a matter to concern since you could get rid of the feeling of exhaustion and confirm your confidences as a learning-capable being.

31. Land is a valuable resource, and it is important to use it effectively. I think it would be most effective to create something that all people can enjoy. I therefore propose to use the land to build a campground. At the present time, there is little low-cost recreation in the area when i live. Building a campground would change that. Ultimately a campground would make a more enjoyable environment for everyone.
Local entertainment is simply too expensive. A nice evening out can cost as much as one hundred dollars. Even movies and other less expensive types of entertainment are no longer cheap. Further, there are no real recreational facilities nearby. There are no parks within 30 miles. There are very few basketball courts, and most of those are in poor condition.

32. The result of building a campground will be that many more people will be able to afford an enjoyable evening out. Acampgroud also promotes healthy living. People can get out and breathe fresh air. They can walk and hike and paly baskball or other sports. That is certainly better than spending an evening sitting down, eating buttery popcorn in a movie theater.
A campground will make the area beautiful as well as functional. We have many wonderful natural resources, but we need to cultivate them. In addition to all the other good things it can bring, building a campground will help us do just that.
